Vivi Germanos-Koutsounadis recently retired as the Executive Director of Ethnic Community Services Co-operative (ECSC).
Vivi is a proud Greek born woman whose professional career has spanned many fields including being instrumental in 1979 in founding and since that time heading Ethnic Community Services Cooperative.
She has had a high level of involvement in the Sydney Greek Orthodox Community as well as working and serving on numerous State, Australian Government, International commissions, committees, reference, advisory and working parties advocating for various population groups recognition, issues and needs. Her international profile has also included travelling to United Nations, to lobby about the need to tackle the problems experienced by children in detention.
Vivi’s life long work has been recognised in many ways, for example an appointment by the Multicultural Council of Australia as a People of Australia Ambassador and through receiving a Human Rights award medal for her community work in 1995.
Vivi Koutsounadis-Germanos has been outstanding and tireless advocate for social justice, multiculturalism, community capacity building, inclusion, women and children.
