Children and Isolation

Contact’s role is to help to address the impacts of isolation for children, families and communities. For some people, isolation is a choice – they enjoy living in remote areas or without adult company. For others, particularly those with children, separation from others can be challenging.

As an ongoing practice, Contact investigates current literature findings relating to the impacts of isolation and as a new initiative, we will be sharing some of the findings of interest on a regular basis. With a focus on families and children, the first article explores the impact of isolation on childhood development.
